Balade piétonne sur la Route du sel

In the summer season, the Salt Road becomes inaccessible to motorists. Its few kilometers of asphalt fill up on Sunday, cyclists and young people trying to roller coaster. This short walk runs along the Almanarre beach which links Hyères and the peninsula of Giens by offering spectacular landscapes on the sea on one side and on the salt marshes on the other. They are no longer active today, but they are home to exceptional flora and fauna throughout the year. There are more than 200 species of birds that feed in these shallow waters. From May to October, the Salt Road is used by many motorists, making it more difficult for pedestrians and cyclists.
