ANCIEN LAVOIR
Old wash house composed of 3 parts: the high zone for the accesses, the platform of the wash house and a low zone with a garden.
Built in 1888, the Lavoir was abandoned but was fully restored in 2018. It can be reached directly by a staircase from the Place Saint-Paul. The space is composed of 3 parts: the upper area where the accesses are located, the platform of the wash-house, the lower area consisting of a garden. The platform of the wash-house is the most interesting and the most beautiful part with enamelled lava slabs on which there are archival photos. Below, the terraced garden is equipped with benches and panels for temporary exhibitions.
