ST. LOUIS CHURCH
Church built on a basilica plan under the name of Saint Louis d'Anjou, bishop of Toulouse, with sumptuous stained glass windows
Remarkable building of the 13th century by its Franciscan sobriety, the church of Saint Louis was built on a basilical plan under the vocation of Saint Louis of Anjou, bishop of Toulouse. Its lines, the sobriety of the decoration and the unity of the whole are admirable. It houses sumptuous stained glass windows made in 1847 by the workshop Maréchal de Metz. It is one of the best known monuments in Vieux-Hyères and you can't miss it on the vast Place de la République. In December 2020, the funeral ceremony of rugby player Christophe Dominici took place there.
