A mountain offering exceptional 360° panoramic views of the Bastide region, home to mammals and birds of prey.
Nicknamed the "roof of the Var" because it covers three communes - La Bastide, La Roque-Esclapon and Mons - the Var mountain rises to an altitude of 1,714 metres and offers exceptional 360° panoramic views over the region (and even as far as Corsica, weather permitting). An ideal training ground for paragliders, it is also home to a wide variety of mammals and birds of prey. The aerial ballet of the latter is spectacular when you take the time to admire it. The area is also popular with mountain bikers.
