MOUNT FENNELILLET
Between La Crau and Hyères, this mountain offers a breathtaking 360° view of the Mediterranean and a chapel worth visiting.
An ideal walk to take a breath of fresh air! This mountain, which rises between La Crau and Hyères, is part of the Les Maurettes mountain range which separates the two communes. At the top (291 meters), a chapel (Notre-Dame du Fenouillet) and a breathtaking 360° view. The Golden Islands, the city of Hyères, the Maures massif, La Crau, La Garde, Toulon... nothing will escape you. The origin of its name seems to come from the word fennel, a plant formerly cultivated in La Crau. From 1840 to 1918, a distillery produced a liqueur called "du Fenouillet".
