CHÂTEAU LA VALETANNE
Recent, but not least! After a distant wine-growing, as still shown a ruin on domain, the Château la Valetanne from its ashes in 2007 after rehabilitation of its cellar and vineyard. Exposed south on slopes bathed in sun and Mistral, the vineyards of Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault, Mouvèdre, Carignan, Ugni and Rolle have an exceptional situation. The owners, attached to manual and natural methods, enjoy a somewhat counter-current, favouring small volumes (100 000 bottles per year, 70% in rosé, 20% in red and 10% in white). They make a point of not using any chemicals, and the result is there. Their PDO Côtes de Provence wines are now served in large restaurants in the Hexagon region: the Ritz in Paris, the Brasseries Brasseries in Lyon, or the Villa Belrose in Gassin. On the second floor of the building, a small reception room shows a breathtaking view of the vineyard and Sur.
