THE CONSERVATORY OF OLIVE TREE VARIETIES
Go there and contact
Located on the 6 ha of the site of La Grande Cabane, the Olive Conservatory of the Olive Tree was created in 1995. The site is widely open to the public and extended its activity to other species typical of Mediterranean culture, particularly ciste. In addition to a wide variety of olive trees (78 varieties are represented!), the Conservatory has several carefully restored buildings and representative of the local built heritage. In particular the cade furnace, the well, the oratory to Saint John the Evangelist, the archaic "blood" mill (its operating principle dates back to antiquity, when the mills were enough to sweat the men), and the coal. Access to the Conservatory is at the rate of each. A fast track through the forest track and a trail of discovery on the hill, signposted trail in red and white. For a leisurely stroll.
