The commune of Le Lavandou and its 12 sandy beaches, a great address for families and water sports enthusiasts.
With 12 kilometres of coastline and 12 beaches, the commune of Le Lavandou is nicknamed the "resort of twelve sands". To the west, the beach of Anglade marks the limit of the city. It is a fine sandy beach, with a pedestrian walkway in wood. The Grande Plage du Lavandou, right in the town centre, is a public beach. Fine sand, palm trees, private beaches with mattress rental, beach restaurants and various water activities. The beach of Saint-Clair, east of the port is a real pearl at the foot of the pine trees, particularly pleasant in the morning before the arrival of holidaymakers. You can get there on foot by the coastal path in about twenty minutes from the port of Lavandou. Still towards the east, the Fossette is a small sandy tongue, nestled between two rocky points. Less frequented than the previous ones, it boasts a beach restaurant offering mattress and parasol rental. Aiguebelle can boast of its clear waters in the happy complicity of the sea and the sand. There are also several restaurants and private beaches. The Jean Blanc beach, , about 5.5 km from the town centre, is a superb shaded beach, where the sand varies between white and silver. You can put your towel on the sand to get a feel for all the contours. The beach of the Elephant is one of the most difficult to access. It is a wild beach of sand and rocks, shaded by magnificent vegetation. The Rossignol beach, which is more like a cove because it is so confidential, is also very difficult to access - paradise must be earned, they say! The Layet beach, a little further on, boasts fine golden sand. Partly shaded, it will delight during the day the amateurs of integral tanning and the followers of naturism. The long beach of Cavalière - not to be confused with Cavalaire - is one of our favourites in the general public category. It is a beautiful beach of fine sand plunging gently into the water. Also known as "La Sportive", it has a sailing school, and service providers offering parasailing, jet-skiing, water-skiing, beach volleyball... Less frequented than the Grande Plage du Lavandou, the beach of Cavalière is all the more pleasant. The beach of Cap Nègre is located in the extension of Cavalière. The family residence of Carla Bruni-Sarkozy dominates the hillside. Pramousquier, the twelfth, 8 km from the centre of Le Lavandou, has no view on the road, and vice versa. A character that makes it a bit mysterious.
