ECO-MUSEUM LOU FOURNAS
A modest eco-museum located in a building that belonged to the commune of Mons
The large oven at the origin of this building belonged to the commune of Mons. The deed of residence, dating from 1468, refers to the donation of the bread oven by the lord of the community, Antoine de Villeneuve, in exchange for the levy of one loaf of bread or cake out of every 40, as part of the right to bake. Having ceased to function at the end of the Great War, the building has since been restored and is now a modest eco-museum. For more information, contact the Mons tourist information office or the Pays de Fayence tourist office.
