ST. BARTHOLOMEW'S CHAPEL
This chapel is classified as a historical monument thanks to its walls and barrel vault covered with frescoes on wood
The chapel was built in 1633 on the site of a 12th century fortress. It was destroyed during the invasion of the Duke of Epernon and later on restored. Transformed into a public meeting room during the Revolution, then hayloft during the wars of the Empire, it was several times sold and became the property of Christian Dior who donated it to the town in 1953. Restored, it is classified as a Historical Monument since 1958, thanks to its walls and its roof entirely covered with frescoes on wooden cradle. We also find in the nave, the gallery of the apostles, the arms of Montauroux and the mysteries of the Rosary.
