LAKE ST. CASSIAN
This artificial lake of 5 km long feeds a hydroelectric plant and provides water to the cultivated areas of the coastline
Equipped in 1964 over the course of Biançon by a dam 66 meters which holds 60 million cubic meters of water, this 5 km long artificial lake with a surface area of 430 hectares, feeds a hydroelectric plant and permits the supply of water to the cultivated coastal areas. A water sports settled on its banks, allows the practice of all non-motorized water sports, sailing, pedal boats, windsurfing, swimming and even fishing is very popular. For the record, an English fisherman captured during the summer of 2011, a common carp, all golden, 30.8 kg, which is the largest successful catch from the lake.
