An exceptional forest, classified as a national biological reserve, home to over one hundred and ten species of birds.
Straddling the Var and the Bouches-du-Rhône, the massif is covered by an exceptional forest, remarkable for its dual orientation. This forest covers 140 hectares at an altitude of between 680 and 1,000 metres. More than one hundred and ten species of birds nest in the woods. This forest considered as a "relic" is today classified as a state biological reserve. It is therefore "off-limits", trees are only cut down to ensure its regeneration.
