BASILICA OF OUR LADY OF VICTORY
This magnificent basilica offers visitors a representation of the archangel Raphael on its façade, the town's emblem.
This 950 m² building, built from 1882 to 1889, in a Romano-Byzantine style, by the architect Pierre Aublé on the initiative of Abbé Bernard, certainly refers to a Christian victory, the Battle of Lepanto (1571), one of the greatest naval battles in history. The church of Notre-Dame was inaugurated in 1887. Elevated to the rank of basilica by the Vatican in January 2004, it shows on the façade the representation of the Archangel Raphael, emblem of the municipality.
