Hotel in a Provencal house in Saint-Tropez, offering bright, well-decorated rooms and free private parking

Just a few strides from the bustling port and the famous Place des Lices and its hardcore boulistes, this Provencal house offers peace and quiet in its garden, where a century-old fig tree spreads its branches to provide welcome shade, especially during breakfast. The rooms are bright, simple and stylish. If you're on foot to the city center, there's no need to search in vain for a place to park your car: free private parking is available on site. A great advantage!

We stayed here last year and I had deliberated on whether to leave a review or not, but as the trip is still in my mind, I think it’s important to share my experience. We were booked to stay for two nights but unfortunately we had to leave after one. The walls are paper thin and the guests next to us had spent the whole day shouting and screaming. There were 3 guests in what appeared to be quite a small room. We had spoke to the owners about this and asked them to speak to the guests. While initially agreeing, they then changed their mind and told us that they could make as much noise as they want as it’s a hotel. As we had no sleep, we decided we had to move hotel. I had originally asked for another room further away from them but the male owner was so rude during this discussion that I felt that wasn’t an option and I had to leave. He tried to withhold a refund for the night we didn’t stay, even though they refilled the room, he wanted to make double the profit of the room at our expense. I had to claim back part of it through the hotel platform, but they wouldn’t allow a full night refund as the owner wouldn’t comply. I’ve never been spoken to in such a rude way in all my travels. The hotel we booked into for the alternative night was more expensive but the customer service was fantastic. The owner of this hotel said guests can make as much noise as they want. Please consider this before booking. A hotel should be judged on how they deal with complaints, and unfortunately it was a fail on our stay.
