SAINT-ANNE'S CHAPEL
Chapel dating from the 17th century, ex-voto in thanksgiving to Saint Anne, after an epidemic of plague that spared Saint-Tropez
It would be a pity not to climb the hill at the top of which stands the chapel of Saint Anne, ex-voto, built at the beginning of the 17th century in thanksgiving to the saint, after a plague epidemic that spared the city. Every year, on 18 May, the last day of the Bravades, the population goes there to attend a mass of thanksgiving. From the square in front of the chapel, there is a superb view of the bay of Saint-Tropez, but unfortunately the chapel is not open to the public, and can only be entered during festivals and heritage days.
