MUSEUM OF THE GENDARMERIE AND THE CINEMA
Museum occupying the building that housed the gendarmerie brigade from 1879 to 2003 and served as a film set.
Here's a tribute to the cult Gendarmes de Saint-Tropez film series starring Louis de Funès! The Musée de la Gendarmerie et du Cinéma occupies the building that housed the gendarmerie brigade from 1879 to 2003 and served as a set for the films. On the second floor, you can discover the history of the building and the local gendarmerie, the reconstruction of a 1960s gendarme's office and the history of films shot on the Var peninsula; and on the second floor, Saint-Tropez through the cinema.
