TOUR OF SANARY-SUR-MER
The tower, which was a prison and a guardhouse for the coast guard, is now a museum of diving and collections.
In Sanary-sur-Mer, beyond the fishing port and the fine sandy beaches, there is a nice heritage. The Tower of Sanary is one of them! Built at the end of the 13th century, then surrounded by a moat and a boulevard in 1437, transformed into a prison and a guardhouse for the coast guard, the Tower of Sanary was restored by the town in 1990. Today, it houses a collection of archaeological finds as part of the Musée de la Plongée. With a height of 21.50 m, it offers a magnificent view from its top.
