JEAN-AICARD MUSEUM
The Jean-Aicard museum dedicated to the life of the famous poet, containing many souvenirs and effects of the character.
This museum is dedicated to the life of the famous poet, novelist and academician Jean Aicard. Born in Toulon in 1848, exiled to Paris for professional reasons, he chose to reside in Solliès-Ville from 1916, before becoming mayor of the town from 1919 to 1921. His house, almost nestled next to the church, contains many souvenirs and effects of the character (furniture, paintings, candlesticks ...). It was in this house that he wrote "Gaspard de Besse" or "Forbin de Solliès ou le Testament du Roi René".
