A new hiking trail, signposted and with explanatory historical panels, takes you to the Oppidum du Fort.

The commune of Taradeau is home to a Celto-Ligurian settlement occupied as early as the 1st century BC, as evidenced by excavations carried out on the archaeological site. These fortifications atop the village were discovered in 1969 on the promontory overlooking the village. The site has been gradually cleared and developed by a local association. It offers a superb view of Taradel and its orientation table. A new hiking trail, signposted and with explanatory historical panels, takes you to the Oppidum du Fort.
