Tribute to Raimu with a bust in Place des Trois Dauphins, sculptures in Rue Racine and Place Jules Raimu
Jules Auguste Muraire, known as Raimu, an illustrious Toulon native, deserved to have several places dedicated to him! Born on December 18, 1883 at 6 rue Anatole-France, as a plaque commemorates, Raimu was an incredible artist. You will discover his bust on the Place des Trois-Dauphins and, on the Place de l'Opéra, a colorful fresco representing César and Escartefigue. In the rue Racine, his sculpture in foot is next to the opera house while, on the place Jules Raimu, a bronze sculpture represents the famous card game!
