WINE UNIVERSITY
There are really days when one would like to become a student again because the wine university at the Suze-la-Rousse castle is a magical place. The university opened its doors in 1978. It was created by wine professionals - wine growers, oenologists… - who wanted to gather in a place all activities that affect the wine sector in order to advance the quality of French wines and make them known to consumers in our country, but still to the many foreigners who enjoy them. In addition, its oenology laboratory, in addition to its centre of analysis and advice for professionals, conducts regular research into the quality of grape varieties and on winemaking processes, which are not yet known to all chemical mysteries. For amateurs, a special room - and we weigh our words for this tasting room! - houses about boxes where you can exercise your nose and palate in wine tasting. Every year, nearly a thousand people come here to improve their wine-making skills. In addition, the university has a library that would probably have liked Rabelais. Finally, for those who want to organise work meetings in a place outside the community, the university offers rooms to combine work and pleasure. At the exit of the village on the Route route, the garden Ampélographique Henri-Michel, which is an experimental vineyard combining, sorry, almost 70 varieties from all over the world. The grain hall. The old town and its streets lined with houses with architectural motifs or old carved wooden doors. San Sebastian Chapel.
