BAR DU PONT MORENS
With a location like this, on the little "island" that's home to the famous palace, you'd think this bar would be a perfect tourist trap. Not so! Pont Morens, named after the very first stone bridge over the Thiou, built in the 13th century, is an Annécian haunt where regulars like to come, especially out of season when the area is less teeming with visitors, for a coffee and an aperitif among locals. In the quieter seasons, come and kiss your sweetheart as you watch the swans glide across the clear waters. In hectic seasons, we're not so sure you'll appreciate it. A heritage address that says a lot about the city.
