One of the oldest fairs, the Saint-André fair has existed for over 5 centuries, bringing together over 1,000 traders.
Among the oldest fairs in France, the Saint-André fair has existed in Annecy for over five centuries. It was an opportunity for farmers living in isolated hamlets to sell their produce and for the inhabitants to stock up on provisions before winter. It is therefore natural to speak of an ancestral tradition. But if this fair has endured and still knows the same success every first Tuesday of December with several tens of thousands of visitors at each edition! It is because it has managed to combine tradition and a certain modernity with activities such as the Chefs' Soup. Nearly 1,100 merchants on 5.5 km of stalls and many animations.
