SAINT-FRANCOIS-DE-SALES CHURCH
This baroque style church houses a memorial dedicated to St. Francis de Sales
Dating from the 17th century, this church located in the heart of the city was once the burial place of Saint François de Sales and Saint Jeanne de Chantal. A place of pilgrimage, the church of Saint-François received tributes from European sovereigns, but the French Revolution put an end to the processions by turning it into a factory! The baroque style church was bought by the city in 1968. Restored, it houses a memorial dedicated to Saint Francis de Sales.
