SAINT-PIERRE MUSEUM
The oldest museum in Vienna and the oldest church in France, housing engraved or carved stones and sculptures.
In spite of its closure to the public for works planned until 2027 (approximately) in order to create the 12th departmental museum in Isère, one must see this exceptional site which is the old Saint-Pierre abbey, with its necropolis, one of the oldest churches still in elevation in France (6th century). A masterly place that housed the first museum of the city. Continuity and modernity with the new departmental museum which will make it possible to highlight the heritage of the two ancient churches - Saint-Pierre and Saint-Georges - and the collections of other museums in Vienne.
