CHURCH AND CLOISTER OF SAINT-ANDRÉ-LE-BAS
Church and cloister that were part of a rich and powerful monastery that extended over several streets and reached as far as the Rhone.
From the 6th century to 1791, the church and cloister were part of a rich and powerful monastery that spanned several streets and reached as far as the Rhône. One can admire the multitude of carved columns and capitals that adorn the cloister, which was part of the abbey founded in the 6th century, as well as a remarkable collection of funerary steles. Three rooms before reaching the cloister regularly host temporary exhibitions.
