A remarkable chapel, a sacred place full of history, one of the emblematic places of Vienna.
Overlooking Vienna and the ancient theatre, the Pipet platform was already home to one of the most important monuments of the Roman city. A fortress was built on this strategic position. The castle of Pipet was destroyed in 1633, sparing the Roman walls. In 1856, the hill was consecrated to the Virgin and a chapel was erected in honour of Our Lady of the Salette. A sacred place full of history, Notre-Dame-de-Pipet is one of the emblematic places of the city. To be visited on foot or by car with access to the summit in front of the chapel.
