CELLAR OF THE OLD CHURCH
In the centre of the village of Juliénas, the old disused church since 1868 has become the Cellar of the Old Church. The rehabilitation took place in 1954 under the impetus of Victor Peyret and it was now the Association of Producers of the Raw juliénas that settled there. A unique place of its kind, the cellar has contributed to the reputation of the village and the believer. The Cellar of the Old Church is a place of tasting and animation and welcomes each year the Juliénales, 3 days of festivities around wine, music and beaujolaise gastronomy. The association also organizes films and photo exhibitions throughout the year. Note, the beautiful fresco which, during the wine tastings, makes its full sense.
