DISTILLERIE TROIS RIVIÈRES
Immerse yourself in the rum-making process as if you were there: this is the latest innovation from the house famous for its aged rums.
Recognized by its sumptuous windmill overlooking the Caribbean Sea, the Trois Rivières distillery is one of Martinique's most renowned. It is renowned for its unique terroir, benefiting from the island's southern sunshine and sea spray. This gives its agricultural rums an exceptional aromatic richness. Daniel Baudin, the cellar master, is the guardian of their know-how and typicity. His mastery of barrel selection and ageing techniques has made him one of the world's greatest cellar masters, and he has won numerous awards for his quality rums.
During the guided tour, you'll discover the traditional methods used to make agricultural rums in the old factory, before being carried away by the immersive animation in the cellar: before your astonished eyes, the barrels come to life! An experience never before offered in Martinique. Allow forty minutes to an hour for this unique visit.
The walk to the gardens is punctuated by a magnificent fresco on the ground, inviting your imagination to recreate the circuit followed by the cane, its terroir and its natural environment. It's a great way to start your visit, before making an almost obligatory stop at the boutique, where you can taste the prestigious vintages and internationally-renowned cuvées on the terrace. All around, a number of stalls offer a fine selection of local crafts.
