GRAN MELIÁ COLÓN * * * * *
Two major assets for this hotel, its spa, which is among the most highly rated in Seville, and a beautiful rooftop pool.
Accoladed to the Magdalena Church, the former Majestic, dear to the Sevillans, has always been the meeting place of the world's bullmen; before the bullfights, the toreros are still dressed in one of its suites. Since it was restored in 2000, and renovated in 2007 by famous designers like Starck and Wanders, this 5-star opened in 1929 for the Ibero-American Exhibition is simply splendid. In the entrance, a large modern hall overcrowded with a huge dome gives an overview of the hotel's standing and comfort. Large bright and cozy rooms with large bed, flat screen TV, designer furniture. With, close to the Museum of Fine Arts, every floor dedicated to a painter, seven in total, and Goya being at the last. Not to mention the Spa, one of the most popular in Seville, with hammam, sauna, Turkish baths, sports room… Since 2017 a beautiful swimming pool on the roof. It was the place where Obama had to stay during his stay in Seville in July 2016, if the news had led him to cancel his trip. If you don't have the chance to stay there, you can come to the flamenco shows regularly offered in the hotel bar.

Dommage que le restaurant extérieur soit si proche de la rue.
