Great selection of subs including a nice list of veg and vegan ones. Dutch Crunch is always reliable no matter what sandwich you get

Steamed pork buns but you need to get here early enough because they sell out quickly

I got the Ms. Spicy and it was a REALLY great sandwich. I enjoyed every bite. Also, the people working here are very nice and friendly.

Best sub I ever ate in San Francisco. This became my go to spot for years.

I haven’t been to Irving Subs or Sunset Subs prior to today, so this is my first time trying these sandwiches. There was a queue ahead of my walk in to order a sandwich. If you’re visiting San Francisco or haven’t had a Dutch crunch sandwich, you have to try a Dutch crunch sandwich at least once in your life. I don’t make the rules. From walk in to ordering to go, it took about 18 minutes for the T.A.B.L.T sandwich with Dutch crunch bread to be toasted and assembled. There were only like 2 people working, so it was a bit of a wait for the sandwich but the staff at the register was friendly.

I’ve had quite the number of BLT sandwiches, banh mi, and sandwiches with Dutch crunch bread in my life. I don’t claim to be a sandwich connoisseur, but I’d like to say that I know what I’m looking for in a sandwich. This T.A.B.L.T sandwich was THICK! Oh my goodness, it was so massive and satiating, as I’d hope for a $12 sandwich. (Technically, the sandwich was $15 after tax and tip.) The Dutch crunch bread on the sandwich was still crunchy and the bacon was still crispy by the time I returned home to devour the second half of the sandwich. The avocado was perfectly ripe and generously spread out. It was a well balanced stuffed sandwich with the mayo sauce, pickles, and pickled peppers.

Overall, this is my verdict on the T.A.B.L.T sandwich: fantastic and filling! 10/10 would eat again. And might I say…this is the perfect sandwich for a picnic!

Tips and recommendations: Get your sandwich bread toasted. Follow Sunset Subs on Instagram for a free snack. I opted for the Kettle Sea Salt chips for my snack of choice. You can order to pick up ahead of time to avoid a queue.

10/10 sub. Just a solid classic sub. Bread was perfect texture. They take their time to assemble the sandwich but it’s worth the wait. It’s a little big so might feed two.

My niece said the Milk Bread is 10 out of 10, very soft bread inside and crusty outside.

I m from LA. Heard lots of people raved about this bakery. We ordered cha siu bao, curry bao, dun tot, guy mei bao... They are all pretty good, not necessarily better than what can be gotten in LA.

The sandwiches were okay. We ordered the Tindle chicken sandwich and the Goodfellas sandwich. They were out of a lot ingredients so they needed to be modified. They were busy so we waited about half an hour for our sandwiches, in all fairness the cashier told us it would be about that long of a wait. Other than that it is a cute shop.

The place is bigger than it looks like. It has a few tables inside, snack area, drinks and more even some medicine like dramamine and tylenol. You can find good candy and snacks that most places don't have. The subs are good. You can choose the set options or make your own. There are vegan and regular options. The cashier wasn't friendly and service is kind of slow so come here with time and at your own risk.

My daughter found this place online after we went to Academy of sciences. Looked relatively descent. Placed our orders, and then............waited and waited and waited some more. They took like 15, maybe 20 minutes to make 2 subs. Mine was supposed to be a hot roast beef. I don't know if they waited to tell me it was ready or what, but by the time we walked 1 minute to our car across the street, my sub was room temp at best. Definitely not toasted as he offered and I accepted. The meat was not very moist or flavorful and the bun was not soft and warm like I expected or hoped it would be. The traffic on the street is insane. Hard to find parking, which was also metered @ $.25 for 4 minutes. I'm not used to paying for parking meters, but that seemed a little bit stiff to me. Definitely will not be back. I'll stick with Togos thanks.

Good sandwiches, but if you show up in person, know that online orders take precedence over you, so you’ll be turned away or told to wait an hour. BS.

Best subs in San Francisco! Their customized subs are to die for, specially their chicken breast which are diced up in cubes and super super juicy and tender. Ate this almost every day for lunch when I was still living in San Francisco and still miss it so much till this day! Thanks guys :)

Great veg options, however waited 20-25 minutes (although was kind of busy) and quality was so-so.

One of the best wraps I’ve had, definitely not your average sandwich shop. Would recommend the Caprese as a great vegetarian option!

Really good hoagie on some nice bread. Loved the Goodfellas on either a Sourdough roll or Dutch Crunch.

Good sandwiches at a reasonable price. taking away a star because we were quoted 15 minutes and waited 35 minutes. Also the sandwiches suffer from structural integrity problems. The layering is wrong and you've got too many slippery/wet things next to each other and that makes it fall apart as you're eating it.
