A 36-story building with views of San Francisco and Union Square, offers rooms with automatically controlled lighting
This luxury hotel is housed in a 36-storey building overlooking San Francisco and Union Square. Comfort is similar to that of other Hyatts around the world. The hotel has been beautifully renovated. New features include works by Bay Area artists, which now decorate all 685 rooms. From the 30th to the 34th floor, the exclusive "Grand Club" rooms feature automatically controlled lighting. The ambience remains businesslike and corporate, but all the comforts are there, and you couldn't dream of a more central location.

Ohne Frage 5 Sterne!
However, there were a couple of minor drawbacks that detracted from an otherwise positive experience. Firstly, the motion-activated night light under the nightstand proved to be a bit disruptive during the night, as it would unexpectedly turn on when I shifted in bed, causing unwanted reflections that disturbed my sleep. Additionally, while the food at the hotel restaurant was delicious, I was disappointed to find that the TV in the room did not offer Netflix access, with the only option being to use Google Cast from my own device.
On the bright side, the location of the hotel is excellent, situated very close to Union Square and conveniently adjacent to the Apple store. There are plenty of dining options and attractions within walking distance, making it an ideal base for exploring the city.
Overall, I would recommend the Grand Hyatt San Francisco Union Square to others and would certainly consider staying here again in the future.
It was frustrating as I had a late flight the night before and was trying to sleep before my conference.
I tried to fall asleep again, and guess what happened 30 minutes after? She came back and started knocking and opening the door again. I had to get up and go tell her to leave me alone again.
Some time later around 9:30 am I was in the shower and guess who came back knocking on my door again?
I get it that you are a "modern" hotel, but having the "Do not disturb" card available would have been very helpful. I always hang it out every time after I check in.
Having window blinds would also be helpful.
I travel for work and spent 100+ nights at Hyatts in the past year. I've never experienced a hotel that has worse soundproofing than this. It's beyond unacceptable, you literally hear everything from the room next to you. If you're the kind of person who likes to, you know, sleep at night, you shouldn't stay at this hotel.
The staff couldn't be bothered - when I inquired about changing my room, they shrugged and claimed they're fully booked for tonight. Well, the Hyatt app begs to differ and shows availability.
The club obviously has a great view and the club staff is great. But the globalist breakfast is worse than what you get at an average Hyatt Place.
Speaking of globalist perks - there is practically zero recognition. But hey, if you're really nice they might give you a bottle of water at reception. You want a second bottle? You better justify why you need it. Unbelievable that they ration the water.
And that's a theme - it feels like they're intentionally trying to make the experience feel "cheap". Bizarre for a GH.
Long story short, this hotel should be avoided.
