Beautifully situated campground with 10 tent sites and 26 RV sites at Big Cypress National Preserve.

This campground is one of two lodging options offered by Big Cypress Reserve. It is located only 10 minutes from Midway Campgroung and unlike Midway Campgroung, it does not have electrical hookups. There are 10 tent sites and 26 RV sites, as well as sanitary facilities (no showers) and access to drinking water nearby. The setting is beautiful, with a lake where you can fish and watch alligators and birds. The place is even more beautiful at sunset.

No frills campground. Not much to do at the campground itself, instead drive a few miles to hiking trails, boat trips, visitor's center and other activities. Great cell service with tower right there. Watch lake for gators and be very careful if walking around at night. Bring bug spray! Lots of generators running.

Showers and cell service. Excellent host names Chris and a clean site. There’s dumping and filling locations as well. No power pedestals for larger RV’s.

Staying at a tent site with a Class B RV with no issues with the ground being wet. Gators inhabit the pond and usually bask/swim. As the host mentioned, this is probably the best spot in between Naples and Miami. I would definitely stay here again and stay longer.

This is a magnificent place but be aware that you might have these noisy gazoline generators running and if you have them on both sides…. What a nightmare ! I think it is about time that all these park’s or reserve’s campgrounds enter in the new era : no polluting and low noise solar generators only aloud !!! After all, they do have a conservation duty, don’t they ???
Otherwise, I would give 5 stars.

It's a great campground over all!! Wish they had just 1 more shower as the other campgrounds in the area areas allowed to use this one and there is only 1 to share and their website updated with the rules and regulations or that when you check in they review those with you at that time...
