Spacious and clean rooms for this highly distinguished Spa.
Many restaurants and bars just outside the hotel. You will be entitled to the Jacuzzi and the outdoor Swimming Pool for fitness and gym and hammam. The rest is paid: massage, hydrotherapy… The treatments are of excellent quality, even if the general ambience looks like a thermal cure for the third age.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Free internet at the reception. Golf courses and tennis courts available.

I had a facial at this spa on Saturday. I’ve been here for a facial about 2 or 3 times previously. For some reason, I had a severe allergic reaction after my facial and my eyes and bridge of my nose swelled to the point where my eyes could barely open. I had asked the aesthetician to give me a list of the products she used before she did the facial but she talked so much, I suppose she forgot. I would have really appreciated if she had because I could understand what I should stay away from, as I normally never have any allergies and I’ve had numerous facials and regularly use the Eminence products the spa uses. I called the spa 2 days ago and left a message with all these details and they still have yet to return my call. I have been unable to get anyone to answer the phone and I find this pretty unacceptable, as I wanted to try to pinpoint what could have potentially triggered this incredibly uncomfortable reaction.
If you’re looking for a spa that actually follows up and provides a real service for the high price you pay, I recommend looking elsewhere. I will not be returning after this experience. Very disappointing.
Also, their facilities always seem to be in disrepair and unavailable, as the steam room was broken a few months ago and this visit it was broken as well. There were other things not functioning like vending machines, etc; they clearly need more staff for the facility.

The salon and spa services are phenomenal - Five stars all the way! The therapists and salon staff are simply amazing and in my opinion, the only reason to visit Safety Harbor Resort and Spa. The spa facilities are wonderful and well taken care of.
That being said, there is so much room for improvement in the other areas. Specifically the resort hotel and restaurant.
The rest of the resort needs some serious renovations. Parking is a nightmare and although there is a lot for resort guests, no consideration is given to spa patrons. I end up paying for valet, who doesn't even accept credit or debit - cash only!!!
Front desk and phone staff are not the friendliest. But whatever, you don't have to interact with them very long.
The Fountain Grille restaurant...so much potential but very very underwhelming. The dining table was extremely wobbly, chairs sit too high for the tables. The service was not friendly nor even very helpful; I felt like a bother to wait staff. The food - just yuck......I don't know what goes on in the kitchen but I wasn't impressed. The menu is lacking but the quality of food was even worse. I sincerely wonder if the food is precooked or frozen and then reheated. We have tried dinner three times, lunch three times, and breakfast once (wouldn't even consider giving breakfast a second or third chance). Different menu selections chosen each time and my opinion remains the same - poor service and food quality. Next time I will forego the restaurant and visit one of the many nearby restaurants. Which is a shame because it's a pretty restaurant and very convenient right on site. But honestly I would rather go hungry than to ever give the restaurant another chance.
