A young and fun address in Pajé, Mr Kahawa is first and foremost a café-restaurant ideal for lunch, with a menu of light dishes: salads, wraps, sandwiches, smoothies, excellent coffee and wifi, in a healthy, green spirit, as well as Levantine specialties. We love the staircase terrace under tall trees with benches and cushions in front of the beach, the coworking room and the arty decor. It serves excellent espresso coffee. On Tuesdays, an inspired blues trio livens up the place and a special gourmet tapas menu is offered.

Mr. Kahawa Waterfront has been a haven for active, curious, and conscious travelers since 2006 when they established Kite Centre Zanzibar, the first kite school in Paje. Now, you can also enjoy their café-restaurant offering award-winning coffee, nourishing dishes and innovative cocktails. UPDATE: I came back about six months later and really enjoyed the food and drinks (especially the coconut iced coffee). This time the service was also good. The only thing that was disturbing was that two times a group of waiting staff were shouting at each other in the middle of the full restaurant. One time they were actually arguing loudly (in front of the kitchen/bar), one time they seemed to be having a good time but it was like 7 of them standing together being super loud in the middle of the terrace full of customers.
