NATURAL HISTORY MUSEUM
Small museum allowing to discover the flora as well as the terrestrial and marine animal species of the island.
Created in 1966, this small museum allows you to discover the flora as well as the terrestrial and marine animal species of the island. 300 samples of dried plants can be seen, such as the carob tree (from which syrups are made here) and the cedar tree (with which the local liquor, kitron, is produced) from Asia, but also endemic species such as Naxos comfrey (Symphytum naxicola) and Naxos velar(Erysimum naxense), which grows only on Mount Zas.
