A small hotel in the centre, comfortable, with a decoration around the great Portuguese poets.

It's the second of the Be Hotel brand. Opened in 2018, its rooms are spread over 4 floors and the decoration of each one pays tribute to a great Portuguese poet (hence its name). Fernando Pessoa, Florbela Espanca and Luís Vaz de Camões are the elected representatives. An excerpt of the poem, a colour and a design are assigned to the rooms on each floor. These are sober, spacious and comfortable, coffee machine at your disposal. Breakfast is served in the restaurant on the ground floor. In short, a very nice little hotel!

The hotels location is perfect to explore Lisbon and the surrounding area. We liked our quiet room and very comfortable bed. The breakfast on offer was continental and plentiful with excellent Portuguese pastries. The staff are very helpful and gave us a warm reception on arrival with a glass of port and a custard tart - on offer for all guests.

The hotel is situated in an excellent location, and the staff welcomes you with pastries and a glass of wine, which is quite delightful. They were helpful and assisted us in reaching our room. The room was average in size; however, the bathroom was small, and the curtains were broken and couldn't be opened, so we couldn't tell if the view was good. At night, we found the room somewhat noisy, which affected our sleep. It was raining heavily that day, so they offered umbrellas for a $10 deposit. The elevator is extremely small and potentially dangerous for children, as the doors encroach on the elevator cabin's interior, posing a risk for kids' hands. We chose this hotel primarily for its highly praised breakfast, but were greatly disappointed. The quality of the food was subpar. The pastries seemed too artificial and commercial, the meats unappetizing, and the hot meals consisted only of eggs. We expected much more in terms of quality and variety. The worst part, however, involved the orange juice. It was advertised as freshly squeezed but was clearly from a commercial bottle. My child drank a glass and near the end, mentioned it tasted off. We tried it and discovered it had dishwasher soap in it, which was horrendous. We complained to both the restaurant manager and the reception manager, who seemed unsurprised. They simply went to get another bottle of orange juice and did nothing more. There was no apology, nor did they inquire about our three-year-old's well-being. We were extremely frustrated with their handling of the situation. Our experience began positively at check-in but ended terribly. We will not return, and the hotel should definitely pay more attention to safety and health standards to prevent future guest intoxication. My child suffered from a stomachache for the rest of the day.
