This palace is considered one of the most beautiful and important in Lisbon. It was built in the 16th century and designed by one of the architects of the Hieronymite monastery. Purchased by King Dom Manuel I, it was later joined by the Lancaster family and the Marquis d'Abrantes, whose work enabled it to withstand the earthquake of 1755, including the famous porcelain room. In 1909, the palace was sold to the French government and became its embassy.

50-minute tour, every Thursday at 11am. 12 € for adults and 6 € for children aged 12 to 18. Reservations required on the site, where other tours are also available.

Located in Lisbon, the Palacio de Santos French Embassy in Portugal is one of the city's most beautiful and important palaces. Built between the 17th and 18th centuries by the Lancastrian family, the site has seen a number of events, including the earthquake of 1755. Long reserved for ceremonies and diplomatic affairs, this Baroque-style palace, built on the site of a former convent, is open to guided tours in French or Portuguese. This masterpiece by architect João Antunes houses a number of interesting rooms, carefully decorated and steeped in history. The porcelain room and its fine collection are sure to impress. The music room is also worth a visit. What's more, the palace boasts a beautiful garden where you can enjoy a pleasant moment. Worth a visit!
