The Indonesian chain Periplus publishes many books in English about the island of Bali - from Balinese and Indonesian cuisine and local dishes, to valuable road and hiking maps for the more sporty and adventurous, to art, film, photography and more - and has a large selection of contemporary and children's literature and novels also available in English. As mentioned above, there are hardly any books in French.

The selection of books is much better than the other bookshops mentioned in the guide. There is here for all tastes: contemporary literature for children, cookbooks Balinese, albums, cards...
