MUSÉE RENAISSANCE ANTONIO BLANCO
Museum housing a large and interesting collection of works of art from different periods of Antonio Blanco's career.
The Renaissance Blanco Museum is a small museum housed in the house of Catalan artist Antonio Blanco (1911-1999), which you enter through a white archway to discover the world of a painter fascinated by the beauty of women. Many of his works depict women in the simplest of poses, or in erotic attitudes. He took pleasure in hijacking traditional mythological images, giving them a naughtier air. The building, a unique blend of Balinese architecture and Spanish influences, overlooks the Campuhan River. The building houses a large and interesting collection of works of art from different periods of the famous artist's career. During his lifetime, the museum was visited daily by hundreds of people from all over the world. Visitors can also discover the daily life of the Balinese by visiting the family temple or strolling through the various gardens. Incredibly, the artist's studio has remained intact. You can even still find an unfinished painting on the easel. The atmosphere has also remained unchanged, soft and warm with the scent of incense. The Blanco family offers a personal tour of the museum and its gardens. Lithographs and books on the artist can be purchased directly from the museum. A total immersion in the artist's life, his inspirations, his daily life, his world.
