A few steps from Campo Sant'Angelo, a handful of tables, a cozy setting and the same menu for twenty years. A family cuisine that honors pasta, meats and grilled vegetables. We'll choose the ultra-rare beef filet, the spaghetti with clams, perfectly al dente , and the eggplant in saor (fried with onions), decidedly very vinegary. And for dessert, panna cotta or tiramisù, without going too far. An address that counts many regulars among its clientele. Only regret, the prices, a little too salty!

it was a dream come true!! the three of us, me, my boyfriend and our best friend enjoyed our meal and the amazing experience here. Hani and Ernesto were wonderful, even agreed to take a pic with me! we ordered 3 different salads, spaghetti bolognese, spaghetti gorgonzola, spaghetti siciliana and of course the vinegar pork chop!!! everything was amazing. pasta gorgonzola was thick and rich, the spaghetti siciliana has a nice kick so if you’re not into spicy maybe it’s not for you, the bolognese was just so perfect. the vinegar pork chop… i have never ever tasted anything like this before. it’s tender and of course the tang was very strong! and the portion is really big, we shared one portion for the three of us and we barely made it! so if you come here alone or maybe just two people, ordering 2 mains would be too much in my opinion. we wish we had room to try their dessert!! all in all, 10/10 a must try if you ever visit venice.

Go and eat the fantastic food. Enjoy talking to owners. Sign the check at the end, it was worth it.

We first discovered this gem on our honeymoon over a decade ago and never forgot the legendary pork chops. They are as delicious as we remember, maybe even better with a douse of nostalgia sprinkled on. Long after our vacation, we still dream of Arturo’s porkchops, Ernesto’s eggplant and aperol spritzes, and Benjamin Hani’s gracious hospitality. Definitely get a reservation!
