we ate the 9 course meal with a wine and tea pairing (nonalcoholic options were wonderful)

the food was extremely creative but grounded in expert flavor and preparation technique

highly recommend to anyone visiting venice

one of the top meals i have ever had

we sat for the 730 but did not leave until 1230, so be prepared for a longer dinner

Such a exceptional experience. We showed up when the restaurant opened and left when closing, for 4 hr dinner! We had 9 course meal, cheese plate and matching wines. I expected to be hungry but was so full. In between there was surprise menu which gave us refreshing moment!

Situated on a really top picturesque location, super cozy interior, floors and glasses match!

Super tasty and diverse food!
Great wine list and a knowledgeable sommelier.
Staff are friendly and hospitable, the food is top notch!

A seven course meal takes about an hour and a half - two hours.

Make sure to get a reservation, in order for you to be able to indulge in this culinary adventure!

Totale: siamo usciti affamati e decisamente ubriachi.

Personale oltremodo gentile e tempi d'attesa assolutamente buoni.

I recently visited this restaurant and had a very disappointing experience. The service was incredibly slow, and to make matters worse, there was a hair in my dessert. Despite bringing it to their attention, they never apologized or offered any resolution.

On top of that, they also forgot to serve us the petite fours. I was left feeling extremely disappointed with the overall experience. I hope they take this feedback seriously and make the necessary improvements. Please don't even bother to dine here. The food wasn't great anyway. There are definitely other Michelin-starred restaurants that are much more worth trying. Don't waste your time and have an experience like ours.

Authentic Venitian food, we took the lunch menu and it was great from starters to desserts. They choose strong aliments and innovate how to prepare and serve them (the tataki of donkey with murex and truffles was my favorite)

It makes you wonder what happened to Michelin critics to suggest this place. Such a disappointment. The menu looks interesting and the raw materials are indeed of high quality. However the food is not what you would expect from a Michelin stared restaurant. Some plates are just ok, many are surprisingly bad. With every plate you can see the chef’s immaturity and his desperate attempt to show off his techniques all while serving tasteless food. Cooking with no soul, boring combinations. The atmosphere nothing special and the staff although friendly and polite could do better.

Very disappointing experience overall. We wish we have more attention to reviews with the lowest score as they were definitely more accurate of the situation. Short story it is an overpriced, underwhelming and borderline unprofessional experience. The food is surprisingly mediocre with some dishes being actually unpleasant. All meats were chewy and hard, few plates under seasoned, most of the dishes gave bitter aftertaste and acidity were no where to be found. Even the “plate” with bread and olive oil was not executed to perfection. Olive oil was mediocre and no salt as extra to balance the unseasoned bread. Dessert with curry probably one of the most unpleasant combinations and the predessert that force into your mouth awkward and completely unnecessary. Chef and menu feel confused and far beyond to Michelin star quality. The atmosphere is cold, no music and the ambiance of the staff trying to be cool but just looks unprofessional. Would not recommend and will be surprised if they keep the Michelin star with this menu.

Avoid this place if you’re coming with children/babies! Very child/baby unfriendly!

Unfortunately we didn’t have a pleasant experience in this restaurant.
I was visiting this establishment for dinner with my wife & 9 month old baby and another couple, so all together 4 guests + a baby.

As soon as we’ve entered the restaurant a manager made a comment “you havent told us you ll be coming with a baby” which got us started off on a wrong foot. He didnt even say “Good evening”. When making a reservation there was NO “adults only” mentioned on their website so we’ve just assumed brining an infant wouldnt be a problem.
They’ve suggested they’ll bring a baby chair (which proves my point that babies are allowed in this restaurant otherwise they wouldnt have it) and we’ve said yes.

When degustation has started with a first dish baby has started crying & a waitress immediately came to our table & said to my wife “the other guests are complaining about your baby. Can you turn the noise down? It was very rude and my wife started to feel uncomfortable!

Listen to the best part - as my wife was trying to make our baby fall asleep the same blonde waitress came again to our table and suggested this “brilliant idea” : one of their waitresses will take our stroller and walk around Venice with our baby while we are having dinner! Unbelievable- I couldnt believe what was I hearing. That was a first - give your child to a complete stranger to walk around in a new city you are visiting as a tourist! I can only justify their insane proposition by suggesting no one from their staff has their own children.

Food was average at best - for a Michelin star restaurant you would expect better. I couldnt even finish the mushroom dish. Lagoon fish was average. But the real disappointment was service - rude and unacommodating.

All that for 600 EUR for 4x people. Expensive for the value you get.

The only bright spot in all this was one of the waiters (forgot his name but he used to work in London ) who was friendly, the rest of the staff just couldnt care less.

Servizio perfetto, gentilezza, raffinatezza, menu estremamente delicato e sorprendente.

Just ❤️. We went there for new year's evening and were simply enchanted by everything. And you can really look at everything here, in detail, and count your blessings to be there. From the precise location to the dining rooms' architecture and decorative details, the furniture, the table- and silverwear, and the other guests: this place is something to fall in love with and/or in. And that's before we've even entered, been warmly greeted and introduced to our first course. To us, the service was exceptionally friendly, clairvoyant, and eager to be measured at highest standards - not in terms of snobiety, but in terms of those friends you're most looking forward to be invited to visit. The kitchen, then, is pure, wonderful, operatic drama behind a glass wall: five to six highly concentrated artists flying about and obsessing with what they love. You see in their faces the determination to quality, joy when they glimpse it and sorrow when it's not quite right yet. Its a joy to witness. And, of course, to ultimately sample. By that time, local had already won us over big time. But the food was otherworldly. Where some restaurants err on the side of having a wine menu with some food accompanying it, local's star in an incredible WesAndersonesque ensemble is its kitchen's creations. If you count and can appreciate all those little top notch treats and all those individual little masterpieces, your evening's bill will come into perspective as throughly reasonable. The amount of work, care, and quality that goes into each fleeting moment here amounts to a little part of life tremendously well spent. Thank you, team local!

Beautiful atmosphere. The food is clearly made with inspiration and love, and the wine pairing was perfect. The staff was so kind and welcoming.

Easily one of our favorite Michelin restaurants in Italy. All of the dishes were well thought out, and they came with little reading cards. The musso with porcini mushroom was a nice surprise. We haven't had any a- donkey before. We also opted for their supplemental cheese tasting since we LOVE cheese. While we were talking, they ran up to us and put a spoon in our mouth. Whatever it was, it was very delicious. We joked about how people are just letting others put spoons of unknown substances in their mouth without consent. Anyway, this restaurant is definitely a must try Michelin star in Venice.

We saw a 10% discretionary service charge tacked on at the end. We're familiar with the coperto, or cover, charge and the water charge; however, the service charge was definitely an one off for us. We haven't had any service charge at any other restaurants in Italy (both regular and Michelin stars). Taking off a star for that.

were sourced locally and executed perfectly, preserving the flavor using dry-age and sous vide techniques, balancing seafood saltiness with tartness from seasonal pumpkin and strawberries.

Even though I was dining alone, the staff were so friendly and helped me feel at ease. They also paced the courses so there wasn’t a long break between course.

The restaurant design was well thought out , infusing the logo of the restaurant into the Venetian marble floor poured on-site, into the paper seal, and to the glassware decorations throughout the restaurant. Overall exceeds all of my expectations.

It's very upscale, for foodies and hipsters. The portions are small and it's very much about reductions and infusions and stacking geometric shapes so the food doesn't look as much like food and becomes art instead. If you like complicated dishes that look like modern art, then you may love this place. I prefer simpler food and I found this place pretentious, more focused on being artistic than in pleasing customers. For instance, they insisted that each diner MUST order a minimum of two items and honestly, I had to force myself to get two. I didn't see much on the menu that I wanted to try. The frosting on the badness cake came when a server popped out of nowhere and shoved a spoon in my face with no explanation or communication whatsoever. It was a tasting spoon of Panna Cotta, but it startled me instead of tantalizing me. For someone with PTSD I suspect it would be harrowing. Bottom line, unless you prefer weird, artistic food with oddball service choices avoid this place. I went to bed hungry.
