There is a real summer-winter rhythm to Moscow's leisure and sports activities. The parks are artificially frozen in winter for the pleasure of skaters and some squares and open-air swimming pools are also occasionally transformed into skating rinks. Main events

The city's sporting highlights are the derby matches between the three local ice hockey teams: CSKA, Spartak and Moscow Dynamo. In football the rivalry between CSKA and Spartak is also alive and well. In October, the Kremlin Cup is finally held, which is worth a visit.
