Staff was very nice here. The rooms are okay, our bathroom just was extremely small and did not really have enough countertops to put our bathroom stuff and the placement of towel holders and the door is kind of impractical. The location is very nice to explore Reykjavik. The parking lot of this hotel is extremely expensive compared to the public parking around, but i guess that kind of guarantees you a parking spot if you are willing to splurge on this

Good location near to bus stop 12 where all tours depart, just 2 street away from the "busy" Laugavegur.
Room with seaview.

Great location. You can easily walk all over town. Breakfast is very good. Renovation of the showers and carpets would be great.

Even though they are not 4 stars hotel but you need a place for convenience and comfortable, that is enough for our budget.

This is my first trip to Iceland and we were so fortunate to have booked at FossHotel Baron. All our tours picked and dropped off right in front of the hotel, the breakfast was amazing..and very filling to set you off on a long days of tours ...rooms were simple but efficient and if you're lucky to get a room on the 4th or 5th floor you have a beautiful view of the water and the western mountain range...
Closely located to the main shopping street and restaurants ( and a 24hr convenient story) walk straight up Baronsstigur street to the church ( walk around) and hop on the red double decker buss and take a turn of the city.
I would highly recommend FossHotel Barron for your first time in Iceland ...

I've never had such a magnificent view from a hotel room in my life. Although the room is relatively basic, that's all we needed and it was perfectly comfortable, warm enough (in February) that we didn't even need to wear jumpers. The buffet breakfast serves a variety of British, continental and Icelandic options, as well as cereal, bread, fruits, and more. The staff were always friendly and helpful. I'd definitely recommend Fosshotel Baron for a stay in Reykjavik

Slecht hotel. Zeer gedateerde kamers. Super slechte badkamer. Met een douchebakje van 80x80 cm met douchegordijn. Vieze lucht op de kaner

Perfect location to see Reykjavik. Hotel is very clean, comfortable and all staff we spoke to was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was lovely and a perfect start to the day. Not a lot of storage space in the bedrooms but a perfect base to see Reykjavik and other parts of Iceland.

I had a couple of really small issues, but the staff are amazing and solved them quickly.

The north facing rooms have a fantastic view of the sea and mountains. The other rooms, while having a limited view of the area are clean, well kept and quiet.

There is a lovely convenience store and some quaint coffee shops within a very short walk and a pizza place over the road.

Overall this is a really great place to stay.

I'm very sorry but the overall rating is very low. The Hotel is good, we had a large room, but very very dark (black walls and very low light). Breakfast was varied and of excellent quality, but the ve big problem was the incorrect behavior of the management. My friend had reserve a room for two people, but before to start the trip the mate cannot will come with us, the reception did not allow a discount to be applied for single use of the double room, much less the cost of breakfasts which would not have been used by the absent person. This behavior is not "welcome ir Iceland". Hiding behind "it's hotel policies" is not good behavior. The car park, in addition to being the most expensive in the area, also requires payment for the night, which is not foreseen in the neighboring ones. As a hotel they could at least offer a discount to their guests. It's a shame because the potential to be a good stay was all there.

Hôtel très bien situé pour se rendre au centre ville. Plusieurs restaurants se trouvent sur la rue principale. Petit déjeuner copieux. Les chambres sont silencieuses et bien équipé. Un parking est disponible devant l'hôtel.
