The campsite is located at the foot of the Skógafoss waterfall, with its spray and noise! There's no store. The location is not quite a haven of tranquility but it is ideal for hikers wishing to join Þórsmörk via the Fimmvörðuháls because the trail starts here.

The location is nice but besides that, the wc are so dirty, the facilities are so poor, they don’t have a lot of plugs

We really can’t complain if we get to camp with a view like this

You’re basically paying for a parking lot with this campsite. There’s a lingering urine smell in the men’s WC. I’m glad it was just a night. Anything more would be dreadful. Only the location is great as you’re right next to the Skogafoss.

Not really a campsite. You park on the public parking lot of the waterfall. The. showers did not work and the washrooms were quite dirty and smelly. They charge you 1800 ISK for that!

Apart from this, I don't like the fact that cars and buses, as well as the shiny restaurant (or whatever that is) get to be so close to the waterfall. I've read comments about the "unbeatable position", but honestly to me this just looks like polluting a beautiful natural spot.
