THE FORT SAINTE-AGATHE
Strategically located fort, regularly hosting temporary exhibitions and the jazz festival.
Built in the 16th century under François I on the site of the old castle, the fort is located in a strategic position. Overlooking the harbor, and offering a 360° view on the island and the harbor of Hyères, it played a defensive role for centuries. In 1991, it was assigned to the Port-Cros National Park. Since then, it regularly hosts temporary exhibitions and the jazz festival every July. Its permanent collection is made up of a set of objects relating to the land and underwater heritage of the islands of Hyères.

Cela vaut réellement le coup d'y aller. Quelques panneaux d'informations, mais pas de possibilité de visite en-dehors de la période estivale.
