THE CHAPEL
The island's only chapel, dedicated to the fishermen Saint-Pierre and Saint-Tropez, is built of stone with a wooden frame.
Along the bay, this pretty stone chapel with its wooden frame is dedicated to the fishermen Saint-Pierre and Saint-Tropez. It was built in 1866 in a former military building. It was once a dispensary for soldiers returning from the Tonkin War between France and China. Its brick bell tower and rectangular floor plan bear witness to this military past. Today, it is the only chapel on the island. Open to the public, it boasts great acoustics for singing along!
