GRANVILLE FISHING PORT
Fishing port in the heart of Granville, one of the largest in tonnage in Normandy, an address to discover.
Located in the heart of the city, the fishing port of Granville is one of the first, in terms of tonnage, in Normandy. If fishing has existed here for centuries, it is indeed the cod fishery that has left its mark on the port, particularly at the beginning of the 19th century, when dozens of boats set out for several weeks off the coast of Newfoundland. Today, about 50 vessels are attached to Granville, whose main fishery is now the shellfish fishery.
