Celiac’s HEAVEN. But above that, most DELICOUS pastries EVER! The double chocolate zucchini bread is to die for. The donuts are the most fluffy delicious thing I’ve ever had. I came back within the week after my first time going, it’s that good! The pasties are very reasonably priced, and there’s seating in the alley connected. If you’re gluten free, you have to go here.

Modern Bread and Bagel stands out for its high-quality offerings and entirely gluten-free menu, making it an ideal spot for those with celiac disease looking for delicious options.

Gluten free haven. I ordered a honey bun (delicious), a Boston creme donut (delightful), and the spicy feta open faced bagel on toasted sesame, which came with fried egg, avocado, garlic and hot sauce (um, YUM). Totaled to $29.

I am so excited and blessed to have a gluten free bakery back in this space on Montana. I tried modern bread and bagel last Saturday and already had to go back for more goodies. For non celiac people, remember that it is easy to take being able to eat normal bread products for granted. When us celiacs have the opportunity to enjoy a beautiful bread product that is as close to the real thing as possible, it’s truly a moment to be cherished.

The bagels at modern bread and bagel and hands down the best gluten free bagels u have ever had. They are so flavorful and the closest thing I have experienced next to the gluten containing counterpart. My partner barely could tell the difference. The shroom sandwich is addicting. I love the mushroom patty so much. I like to add a nice vegan cream cheese and need to eat it once a week. I also adore their donuts. From the glazed strawberry and chocolate to the Boston cream pie, all of the donuts are super fluffy and delicious. I cannot wait to come back and continue bringing friends. Thank you for giving the celiac community the opportunity to finally enjoy.

Chocolate chip Babka and Chocolate Zucchini bread are so good! Brought some to my friend’s house over the holidays & no-one there guessed they were gluten free. Staff is very helpful in describing the bakery options too.

The worst breakfast bagel I have ever had. The “vegetarian sausage was inedible and the eggs were some kind of processed nonsense . All this terrible for $14. Pathetic

Service is always fantastic - everyone here is so nice. And the food is amazing! The best gluten-free bagels and bagel sandwich combos I’ve ever tasted. And don’t get me started on the Ho-Hos! Yum!

Sorry to share but hoping management will improve because it’s an adorable place, with so much promise, especially for those with gluten sensitivity (not us).

We’re from NY, both ordered tuna salad, one bagel toasted, the other not. Awful. The untoasted was as hard as a rock. Bagel was not fresh & we were there at noonish. A very thin layer of tuna salad, a leaf of lettuce, piece of a tomato slice, few pickles. The toasted slightly more eatable, but not deserving of the raves we’ve heard. It’s new, so hopefully only growing pains. We’ll give it another couple of months & try again. Service was lovely though & pastries looked great!

The bagels are ok. Coffee was really bad

Came here because of many recommendations and positive hype. We came specifically for their pastries and baked goods.

Maybe our expectations were inflated, but there wasn’t anything special about it other than the fact that most things are gluten free. In fact, the babka was pretty dry.

Overall, not bad, just not as good as advertised.

The service is great, though.

Good product; but sloppily run kitchen. They missed my order and I had to bug them and wait over twenty minutes for a simple bagel, and seemed like a lot of others were dealing with incomplete orders.

Since they did recently open, hopefully this is growing pains they’ll work out in the coming months.

Modern Bread and Bagel is a small, gluten-free bakery serving a number of baked goods made from quinoa, millet, and brown rice. They also serve bowls and sandwiches made from the same gluten-free breads and bagels. I suggest the donuts, glazed, chocolate and strawberry icing which are delicious. Although only open a short time, there can be lines in the later mornings on the weekends.

My favorite gluten free restaurant in NY and LA! I feel so lucky that we have this here in our backyard! Their bagels are better than any other out there. Their sweets are delicious if you are GF or not GF! Their cinnamon roll has me forever in love. And their lox bagel sandwich is off the charts! I can’t tell you one bad item I’ve ever had … everything is always delicious! Their coffees are even amazing! You have to try Modern, it blows my mind every time I go! So grateful we have you in Woodland Hills.

ALL GLUTEN FREE! Incredible bagels with vegan options. Pastries are ridiculous. From NY to LA my tastebuds are elated. I will be back when the craving returns. Straight dank. You won’t be disappointed

I got 3 items from sweet stand. Everything was so very dry. Not bad flavor. Not over sweetened. Just dry.
