Frida Mexican Cuisine expresses the diversity of Mexican cuisine in an intimate and modern atmosphere. This place welcomes both UCLA students for Happy Hours and a variety of lunch and dinner. The dishes are authentic and rich. Among other things, we come to taste the very famous margaritas or the Frida Platter, the special base of the chef composed of taquitos, crousitllant chicken and guacamole.

I am always skeptical of non-vegan mexican restaurant’s vegan tacos. Often lacking in flavor or slathered in vegan cheese or some other horrible thing - but NOT Frida’s!!! Their cauliflower vegan tacos were amazing. Large serving too, if you make it a combo. I split that with my girlfriend and it was a nice size. Also comes with delicious black beans & rice. For a drink, I got the piña colada ????

Everything here exceeded our expectations - the waiter was caring and helpful, the dining room, with sports on TVs throughout, managed to be quiet enough for conversation, and the Mexican food (even the fountain drinks and a margarita) was especially good. The chips and salsa brought quickly to the table were notably fresh and tasty. Marinated carnitas, defatted but still very flavorful, was blended with perfect refried beans, bright guacamole and seasoned rice- not just randomly plopped into a tortilla wrap. We asked for more on the side and it was a perfect blend of chocolate and mild+ spices. A satisfying, fun place that seems reliable across the menu. We love famous and pioneering La Taqueria where we live (San Francisco), but nevertheless, Frida did not disappoint.

I visited Beverly Hills Frida a few years ago and had a great experience. However, my recent visit to Frida Westwood was quite different. The food didn't justify the high prices, especially the $30+ chicken fajitas, which were both burned and tasteless. When I requested flour tortillas instead of the corn ones provided, the waitress suggested ordering them as a side dish. The presentation was also unconventional, with one dish served in a container with a melted plastic lid. Overall, it was a disappointing experience.

I'm stuck on the campechano burrito slathered in green sauce but I've had other yummy things here as well. The tortilla soup was a nice surprise — put me right over the edge so I couldn't quite finish my burrito.

Sunday night waiter is rude to customers and delivery drivers saw her attitude and instantly changed plans.
